Mt Hood is the tallest mountain in Oregon at 11,250 feet. It is a volcano and last erupted in 1907. It has a native name of Wy ‘East. Skiing in the winter, hiking, backpacking in the summer and climbing in the spring. Timberline Lodge at 6000 feet was completed in 1937 as a WPA project.

I have been very fortunate to live in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest most of my life. I became interested in photography through a Community College Class, but I am pretty much self-taught. I have been a hiker and backpacker in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon and Washington for the last 30 years, although a little slower now. I love to take photos while on these ventures into the mountains. The Pacific Northwest coastline is another amazing place for photographing.
